They’re Back In Numbers

What once was gone, now is found. It was a welcome site to see many other vendors filling the spaces around our booth. Before long, I had my first customer Israel. He was selling some items down the aisle from me and wanted to get a trail of stars behind his ear. It looked good on him and he was quite thankful and excited about the airbrush tattoos. He is thinking about getting a real one in it’s place. Thanks Israel for promoting my business so eagerly and sending customers may way.

The flea market started to get busy and full of potential customers who found our booth at our new location, started picking out their tattoos, and getting in line to get them done. I would also like to give a big shout out to my friend Everett Ragua who is an airbrush T-Shirt and Hat artist. He dropped by to give me a gift, a pretty nice hat that had our website airbrushed on it. If anybody asks about t-shirts, hat’s or other free style airbrushed products, I always send them his way. You can find his booth pretty easily as it is right next to the Carousel. He is also available for private events. Just tell him Paul from Elite Airbrush Tattoo sent you.

Next week we plan to introduce another banner that includes vintage tattoo designs. They are considered old school tattoo designs and utilize the new True Blue Tattoo ink. This temporary tattoo ink will closely match the blue color of a real tattoo. So don’t delay, stop by and check them out soon. You can also keep in touch by using this website to check out our posted events and by viewing our customer tattoo pictures. See you next week.

Where did everyone go?

Today was a very interesting day. It seems that the Flea Market is going through some changes. So much that the Flea Market failed to disclose some information about occupancy plans. There were many spaces around me that were reserved, but none of the occupants had moved in yet. They are scheduled for later this week. So it was a ghost town on this side of the Flea Market. We held our ground, but as most Saturdays go there was not the volume of people we were expecting. We were quite bummed as our product rocks! Of course.

Some good news is that I was listening to the radio when Wild 94.9 was looking for the 94 caller to win some Black Eyed Peas ticket and exclusive back stage passes to meet Fergie and Will-I-Am. Of course I had to give it a try. I happened to be caller 63, 75, and caller 94! Yep, I won the tickets. Thanks Dreena. I was so happy and of course called my wife Karla to give her the good news. But the surprises don’t stop there. We really wanted to take Robert as he is also a big fan. Later that afternoon the contest was open to the 94th caller. And guess what? Karla was the 94th caller and won tickets too. Thanks Chino. So I am crossing my fingers and hoping we will get both sets of tickets.

We also meet some great people like our fellow clothing sellers Carmen and her daughter Irene. Irene got a special Nor-Cal Star (black/purple) with glitter to match her outfit that just made her day. I hope you enjoy the attention everyone gave you Irene. There were also a few people asking if we do parties. Of course we do. If you are interested, simply contact us with all the details. Please plan to give us some notice as we are currently booking our weekends at the Flea. Don’t forget to check out our photos of our happy customers to get an idea of what to expect.

So that about wraps it up. I really hope that many more people will pass by our booth tomorrow.

San Jose Jazz Festival (Day 2)

On the last day of the festival we arrived bright and early after a short night’s sleep. Fortunately, the booth next to us did not show up, so we were allowed to spread out a bit more providing better visibility. I think the best part about our booth location was near the main stage area and provided great jazz music all day long. The music was playing, the weather was perfect and we were ready to make some new acquaintances.

I feel pretty fortunate that we were available to cater to the adolescence, pre-teen, and teen age groups. I am sure they were happy to see something they would love to have and show off. My step-son Robert was there working the event and got the opportunity to meet a lot of you and help out when there were those of you in line waiting your turn.

But temporary airbrush tattoos are not always for kids. This weekend we covered quite the age range. Although we have applied temporary tattoos on kids as young at 1 1/2 years, today we made one 7 month old little boy look pretty tough for his papa. Don’t believe me?, just check out today’s photos. No matter how you refer to them; fake tattoos, temporary tattoos, or even fashion tattoos as I like to call them, they are enjoyed by people of all ages and walks of life.

First, I would like to say thank you so much to Karla’s co-worker Sean and his daughter Maria. It means a lot to us that you came down to support us at the festival. I would like to say hello and thanks to Lisa (a food vendor at the festival) who got a beautiful butterfly tattoo with tribal design. She offered some good information about the festival world and I will take it to heart. Hello to both Summer and her sleeping daughter from San Francisco, CA. Yep, she was asleep during the entire process. Mommy picked out a cute little colorful fish to put on her arm. Her daughter loves tattoos and she will definitely be one happy girl when she wakes up. What’s designs were most asked for? I think today’s popular requests were for Batman®, butterflies and flowers. If you check out our photo section, you will see that butterflies are the most colorful designs, with or without glitter.

As the day comes to an end, we bid farewell to this year’s festival. I would like give special thanks to Myra, a key event coordinator, for all her assistance to make our first Jazz Festival go smoothly. We hope to return again next year.

Don’t forget to check out our Event page to see where we will be next. See you next time.

San Jose Jazz Festival (Day 1)

2009 August 8
Don't just bring one kid, bring them all. Temp Tattoos make big family fun.

Don't just bring one kid, bring them all. Temp Tattoos make big family fun.

So many people, so little time. That about sums up this very busy day at the San Jose Jazz Festival being held this weekend in downtown San Jose, CA. The weather was perfect, a beautiful, sunny, summer day. The Elite Airbrush Tattoo booth was located in front of The Tech Museum of Innovation near the main stage. We began spraying temporary tattoos at 10am and finished up around 8pm. Thanks to all our customers for being so patient during your visit. If you have any questions about the care of your new tattoo, please visit our frequently asked questions page.

We are very happy we had a chance to meet so many people from different backgrounds. I would like to give a shout out to our first customers of the day, Alex & Alondra. They had the pleasure of following their mother all day as she worked the event. Now they can both look cool at the same time. I also met Doctor Linda Miller, who specializes in Gastroenterology (a liver doctor) from Santa Cruz. Hey kids, don’t do drugs. Met a professional female body builder who was in the sport for 17 years (thanks for showing me your body building photos), a professional Salsa teacher named Rob, and a local Spanish radio personality who hosts a show helping local Latina business women. And of course there is the big family of 9 who most got tattoos (photo inset) including mom who’s thinking of making her choice a more permanent one later. So whether you live just 2 blocks away or is here on vacation from England (Hail to the Queen). Seems Elite Airbrush Tattoo is making an impression.

So take a look at today’s photo gallery and see for yourself what you missed. But don’t worry, you can still make it out tomorrow to join the fun, eat good food and listen to some great jazz music.

See you tomorrow.
